As if a pandemic wasn't enough, this year we lost our beloved Golden Girl, Betty White. Many know she was an advocate for animal rescue and adoption but what some don't know is that Betty White was a fierce ally of the LGBTQ community.
Over the course of her long career, Betty White proved time and time again that she was willing to stand up for the underdog. She cared deeply for her gay fans, and she was a passionate supporter of LGBT+ rights.
In 2013, she even changed her name to “Betty Purple” for a day to mark Spirit Day, an anti-LGBT+ bullying awareness day, alongside her Hot in Cleveland co-stars.
We couldn't think of a better person to honor with our new pure white shirts than the great Betty herself. Thank you for being a friend, Betty!
